Excellent point Ron. The lack of vcreativity around this issue is astounding. These highly paid "Professionals" cannot come up with an alternative?
ReplyDeleteWe have so little land available and trying to pack everything in is a challenge to begin with, and we're talking about using part of this precious land to build a new street? Really? Is that what they seriously think is a good idea?
ReplyDeleteParticularly a street beside a school, with a parking lot on the far side (and likely activitives at the Massey & arena on the other side). So you're taking a site with over 1,000 kids mulling around, not nessarily paying attention, and ramming a street through in a neighbourhood already known to have a rat running problem by commuters.
Really? This doesn't raise any safety concerns with anyone? Taking a compact, pedestrian oriented site and making it car-centric.
